Welcome to the forum for the Texas Instruments EvalBot, recently featured on Hack A Day and other sites due to the temporary heavy reduction to just $25 shipped.
As this is a brand new forum, please feel free to make suggestions as to what boards and categories you want, and I'll make a few moderators in a few days if people use this forum.
Enjoy everyone!
Phil

I'm in! I was order number 5704. My coworker is bummed that he couldn't get in.
Really interested in getting the wireless modules running on the bot for use with remote commands as well as adding 2.4GHz video.

Okay, I'm in as well. Anyone done any research about uclinux? I really want to send uCOS down the toilet from the board once I get my hands on it =) Just saw the links section. All looks cool for now. Anyone knows how long does the shipping from ti take?

If it's in stock, they ship overnight. When I ordered my Launchpad, it took 2 months to get in stock, but it was shipped overnight still.
I'm hoping that I'll see mine on my door step when I get home tonight.

Btw, do they ship using regular postal service, EMS, or something like dhl/fedex? Since I live in russia it will definetely take some more time for mine to arrive. We have some really crappy postal service out here.

Hello!
Order 5902.
I'm in the UK and it's the first time I've ordered from TI. Hope it gets here soon though!
I think with the resources in the links sections a linux port is possible, they give all datasheets for all the chips.
A schematic would be helpful though.

Thanks. Hopefully we all receive our units soon. I'll be happy to help in any way. Hope this goes far. Some ideas for some boards I thought of were:
-Newbie -Getting started -Programming -Resources -Stories -Examples -Designs -Projects

6466 Here!
Good to see a forum dedicated. I predict there is going to be some excellent stuff here once the bot's start arriving.

5852 here, I hope there will eventually be FOSS available for every step of the job.
Hopelessness thank you very much for responding to my request for forums, if these bots get shipped there is great potential for this community!
For now the forum should be kept to the least amount of sub forums possible until activity levels get higher. Till then thoughtfully named topics should suffice for organizing things.
