tl;dr at the bottom
For those of you that don't know, I am a total newbie to robotics, programming and microcontrollers.
I will be buying myself an arduino and some kits so that I can finally start learning about these things. From what I have read, the evalbot is probably not suited to my level of skill and knowledge. I am probably quite a way away from being able to do anything with my evalbot (which should be here by the end of the month).
I would like to start playing with my evalbo ASAP. To do this I am wondering if the evalbot could be interfaced with the arduino. From my POV the evalbot is at its most basic: two motors with sensors and two bumpers.
tl;dr Would it be possible for one of you to write a program for the evalbot so it can connect with an arduino? The features I would like to see are simple: *evalbot sends updates when either bumper is activated or deactivated *arduino can give the evalbot simple commands to control its motion (forward x distance or rotate x degrees) and evalbot would fulfill these commands using its control of the motors and their "opto-sensrs" when command is completed successfully evalbot will report this to arduino *evalbot will stop if a bumper is activated while evalbot is in motion, evalbot will report to arduino how far it moved before bumper was activated
Am I right that this would make the evalbot more accessible to me and others with an arduino?
